"Bar-Boy" is a poignant story about Chhotu, a young boy forced into labor due to his father's alcoholism and poverty. After losing his wife, Chhotu's father, Raghu, becomes addicted to alcohol and unable to work. Desperate, he convinces his former employer, Seth, to give Chhotu a job at his bar. Chhotu agrees, hoping to save his father's life.
One day, a misunderstanding with a drunken customer leads to a fire in the bar, and Chhotu is blamed and fired. Raghu, losing his only source of alcohol, falls seriously ill and pleads for help. When Seth visits their home, he finds Raghu has died. Moved by the situation, Seth adopts Chhotu, offering him a chance at a better life.
The story highlights themes of addiction, child labor, poverty, and compassion.
